6 Abs Exercises to Get Ripped Abs

Best abs exercises are a must for anyone serious about getting that perfect 6 pack. But not all abdominal exercises are created equal, and you’ll need to know the best ab exercises to get that flat stomach you’ve always wanted. Luckily, there are plenty of options out there, so we put together this list of 6 Best Abs Exercises to get you started!

1) Abs Exercise 1: Bicycle Crunches

Bicycle crunches are an excellent way to work your abdominal muscles and strengthen your back. Sit on a mat with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. With hands behind head, bring one elbow across to meet opposite knee. Twist torso slightly toward elbow/knee as you exhale deeply. Do 3 sets per day, resting for 30 seconds between sets, until abs are well developed.

2) Abs Exercise 2: Vertical Leg Crunch

Lie flat on your back with your feet planted on a bench that’s at least one foot off of the ground. Slowly bring your knees up toward your chest while simultaneously lifting your shoulders off of the floor.

3) Abs Exercise 3: Plank Oblique Twists

The Oblique Twist targets your obliques, which are located on either side of your abs. Hold a weight plate or dumbbell in one hand and lie with your stomach on a mat. Keep your legs extended, but bend both arms 90 degrees so that you can hold on to the weight plate or dumbbell (holding it close to your chest).

4) Abs Exercise 4: Swiss Ball Jackknife

The Swiss ball jackknife is great for beginners. Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on a mat-type surface or bench. Place a Swiss ball in front of you, about 2 feet away. Grasp one end of a dumbbell in each hand and extend both arms straight up, hands close together above you. Lower the dumbbells to each side of your chest; at their lowest point, they should be nearly touching your shoulders.

5) Abs Exercise 5: Double Crunch

This exercise isolates your abs more than crunches do. It targets your upper abs more, which is something that regular crunches don’t do. Beginners should use a medicine ball and then progress to a dumbbell as you get stronger. Lie on your back with your legs straight and feet together. Keep your hands flat on either side of you, palms facing down.

6) Abs Exercise 6: Superman Twist

This is an exercise that works in your core and also helps you strengthen your back. First lie down on a mat with your arms straight out from your sides, then lift them up over head as far as you can. You should feel a stretch through out your back and core area now contract those muscles and slowly lower yourself back down to complete one rep. Do 5-10 reps for three sets at least twice a week to get ripped abs. ABS WORKOUT AT HOM!
